The Simpsonwood Conspiracy

The Simpsonwood Conspiracy

by Dr.Harald Wiesendanger– Klartext

A disturbing anniversary: Exactly 25 years ago, representatives from US health authorities, the WHO, and pharmaceutical executives met behind closed doors to discuss alarming research findings linking vaccines to neurological damage, particularly autism. The explosive data from the secret meeting remained under wraps, and all participants continued to deceive the public.

“Thou shalt not lie!”: God’s eighth commandment is indeed sacred to America’s United Methodist Church as well. Would it have rented its idyllically situated “Simpsonwood Retreat,” a conference center in Norcross on the Chattahoochee River in Georgia, 40 km northeast of Atlanta, to the group that gathered there on June 7 and 8, 2000, if it had suspected that it was becoming host to a ruthless conspiracy to perpetrate a monstrous lie—a lie that caused millions of suffering?

Exactly a quarter of a century ago now, 52 public health officials, scientists, and representatives of vaccine manufacturers gathered for two days at Simpsonwood to discuss alarming research findings on vaccine safety. The invitation was from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the US agency that oversaw the disease. The participants included high-ranking officials from the CDC, the FDA, which is responsible for drug approval, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) – the most critical agency for biomedical research, with an annual budget of around $50 billion –, representatives of the American Academy of Pediatrics – a professional society for the health and well-being of minors and young adults, to which tens of thousands of physicians belong –, the vaccine specialist of the World Health Organization, and executives from the pharmaceutical giants GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Wyeth, and Aventis Pasteur.

“What I saw stunned me.”

Dutch epidemiologist Thomas Verstraeten presented his analysis of the medical records of around 110,000 children to the distinguished group. (1) The data came from the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD), a government database established in 1990 that collects childhood vaccination data from a dozen health management organizations (HMOs). This system covers more than 9 million people annually, including approximately 500,000 children under the age of six.

What damage did mercury do to them? Vaccines contained the highly toxic metal primarily in the form of thimerosal (2), an organic mercury derivative that served as a preservative to prevent bacterial contamination in multi-dose containers. In particular, Verstraeten investigated the health effects on infants receiving the thimerosal-containing hepatitis B vaccine two weeks after birth and how babies respond to thimerosal-containing immunoglobulin injected into their mothers when they carry the hepatitis B virus. (3)

Verstraeten discovered clear associations between vaccinations and autism—with a risk up to 7.6 times higher than in unvaccinated peers—attention deficit disorder (ADD), tics, language development disorders, and other neurological impairments: “We found statistically significant associations between exposure (to mercury through vaccinations) and (certain) outcomes. First, at two months of age, an unspecified developmental delay. Exposure at three months of age, tics. Exposure at six months of age is an attention deficit disorder. Exposure at one, three, and six months, speech and language delays (…). Exposure at one, three, and six months, the entire category of neurodevelopmental delays.” (4) This, according to Verstraeten, likely stems from the use of thimerosal but added aluminum or antigens could also play a role. (5)

“I was truly stunned by what I saw,” Verstraeten confessed to the Simpsonwood audience. He pointed to the alarming number of previous studies that had already shown a link between thimerosal and language disorders, ADD, hyperactivity, and autism.

He pointed out that in 1991, the CDC and FDA had recommended administering three additional thimerosal vaccines to extremely young infants. One of these new vaccines was administered within hours of birth.

Dr. Richard Johnston, an immunologist and pediatrician at the University of Colorado, whose grandson was born early in the morning of the first day of the meeting, reacted with shock. “My gut feeling?” he said. “Forgive me for making this personal comment—I don’t want my grandson to receive a thimerosal-containing vaccine until we know more about what’s going on.”

Better late than never: The cover-up is exposed.

But the cover-up was exposed: A meeting transcript was leaked, revealing to anyone who cares to see it on 286 pages- Those present were shocked.

Dr. William B. Weil Jr., a respected US pediatrician who served for many years in various capacities for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), stated regarding the current state of research: “The number of dose-related relationships (between mercury in vaccines and neurological disorders) are linear and statistically significant. You can play with them however you want. They are linear. They are statistically significant.”

“This (debunking) study perhaps should not have been conducted in the first place,” lamented Dr. C. John Clements, a leading expert on global immunization programs who played a central role in the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI). “It is extremely problematic how we proceed here.”

The panel was aware of the legal implications. “So we’re in a bad position to defend against any potential lawsuits, and I’m concerned,” said Dr. Robert Brent, a developmental biologist and pediatrician at Thomas Jefferson University and Dupont Hospital for Children.

In the end, there was consensus at Simpsonwood that the findings discussed could not be made public under any circumstances. The goal was to “keep the information out of, let’s say, less responsible hands, given the sensitivity of the information,” warned Bob Chen, head of the Vaccine Safety and Development Branch at the CDC’s National Immunization Program. (6) Participants were prohibited from taking any documents or photocopies.

The CDC subsequently glossed over Verstraeten’s data to such an extent that the clear link between thimerosal exposure and developmental disorders disappeared. (7) – against Verstraeten’s explicit protest. (8)

The Simpsonwood scandal makes disturbingly clear what vaccine skeptics have always suspected: In a virtually criminal alliance, government and industry, the WHO, and medical professional organizations are concealing hair-raising vaccine side effects. How irresponsible and insane do you have to be to convince yourself (and parents) that mercury – one of the most toxic elements on Earth – can be injected into the human body completely safely?

“Uncovering” online on June 6

Thanks to Children’s Health Defense (CHD), the non-profit organization founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in 2007 to protect children’s health, the Simpsonwood Protocols have finally come to light. CHD invites you to a free online event on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 4:00 PM (9) – “The Autism Cover-Up – The Simpsonwood Scandal: 25 Years of Fraud and Corruption.” It features exclusive interviews with leading medical professionals, scientists, and activists who reveal how concealment, deception, and corruption created a public health crisis. Contributors include anti-vaccine physicians Dr. Andrew Wakefield and Dr. Suzanne Humphries; journalist Naomi Wolf; Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC); Lyn Redwood, nurse, activist, and co-founder of SafeMinds (Sensible Action For Ending Mercury-Induced Neurological Disorders); CHD CEO Mary Holland; Polly Tommey, co-producer of the sensational documentaries “Vaxxed: The Shocking Truth” and “Vaxxed II: The End of the Silence”; US biologist Brian Hooker, co-author with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. of the research review “Vaccinated versus Unvaccinated – Now the Science Speaks!”; and many others. A trailer for the event can be found here.

The CDC: A Routine Cover-Up Agency

It’s nothing new for the CDC to stumble upon facts that support vaccine skeptics and then cover them up. At every opportunity, the notoriously pharmaceutical-friendly agency points to a study published in 2004 led by Frank DeStefano, then director of the CDC’s Office of Immunization Safety. (10) The study was designed to determine whether there was a correlation between the age at which the vaccine was first administered with the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine and the diagnosis of autism in children. Using the CDC’s Immunization Registry in Atlanta, Georgia, 1,047 children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) were identified and compared with 1,007 unvaccinated control children. The age at which the vaccine was first administered (18, 24, and 36 months) was controlled for. The published result: No significant difference in the age of first MMR vaccination between children with and without autism – there is no evidence that the risk of autism increases with earlier vaccination.

But the CDC committed massive fraud here. One of the co-authors, William Thompson, revealed that contrary findings had actually been found in a subgroup, namely African-American boys. Thompson admitted this breach of professional ethics in a press release. CDC management had instructed him to destroy all evidence. (11)

Much ado about nothing – old news?

As early as 2004, Kennedy and Republican Congressman Dan Burton publicly denounced the secret Simpsonwood meeting. Since then, several authors and researchers have highlighted the extreme danger of mercury in vaccines. (12) Officials have downplayed the allegations, claiming that Kennedy’s criticism at the time is now history. In the years that followed, thimerosal was removed – purely as a precautionary measure, of course – from almost all childhood vaccines in the United States, even though no causal link to autism had ever been established. What they fail to mention are other, hardly less questionable preservatives such as 2-phenoxyethanol, polysorbate 80, and formaldehyde – not to mention highly toxic “adjuvants” such as aluminum.

And they are only spreading half the truth: “Contrary to what the CDC would have the public believe, they never removed mercury from the vaccination schedule; they simply redistributed it behind the scenes,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. clarifies. (13) “While manufacturers were removing mercury from existing childhood vaccines, the CDC added annual flu shots, many of which still contain thimerosal, for infants as young as 6 months of age and for children every year thereafter. This can expose children to an additional 25 micrograms of mercury annually—not to mention the mercury exposure of unborn children from flu vaccinations given to pregnant women.

Negligible? Even the WHO, unsuspected of any vaccine skepticism, lowered the limit for oral mercury intake in 2003 from 3.3 to 1.6 micrograms (“µg”) of methylmercury per kilogram of body weight per week, or 0.23 micrograms per day—while vaccine ingredients, injected into muscles, enter the bloodstream directly. Some influenza vaccines contain 25 micrograms of thimerosal per dose. Accordingly, for a woman weighing 60 kg, more than double the limit for one day is reached with a single vaccination. For a fetus weighing a few hundred grams, the limit is exceeded by more than a hundredfold.

Incidentally, the claim that a connection between vaccinations and autism has been “long since disproved” has long been refuted – 18 strong arguments make it implausible. Other factors may be involved: from pharmaceuticals such as paracetamol to pesticides, high levels of air pollution, electrosmog, environmental toxins such as lead, arsenic, and copper, to phthalates and other plastics, microplastics, and nanoplastics. But vaccines likely play a significant causal role – because unvaccinated people are demonstrably healthier.

It is more urgent than ever to finally clarify this instead of continuing to play tricks with pseudoscience. Compared to a quarter of a century earlier, the estimated number of autism cases had already increased twentyfold at the time of the Simpsonwood conference. At that time, only one of 5,000 children were affected. By the mid-1980s, the number had risen to 1 in 2,500. In 1995, 1 in 500 children was autistic, and in 2001, 1 in 250. And this horrific trend has continued ever since: in 2004, it was 1 in 166; in 2007, 1 in 150; and in 2009, 1 in 110. The very latest CDC statistics, published on April 15, 2025, show a ratio of 1 in 31—with some parts of the country being even worse affected. In California, one in eight boys is now diagnosed with autism.

Will this alarming increase continue? The autism rate could exceed 7% by 2032. Perhaps one in ten Americans will be autistic by 2060. (14) A health emergency without precedent is looming, including in financial terms: Spending on medical care, support, and follow-up costs could rise to $5.5 trillion per year by 2060 and, in the worst case, to $7 trillion – each per year – in the US alone, according to a new study.

Finally: Kennedy Orders Investigation

Robert F. Kennedy, using the power of his government office as the new US Secretary of Health and Human Services, is currently conducting an investigation into whether vaccinations can actually cause autism. All Simpsonwood conspirators dread the likely outcome – at least, they have secretly long been aware of the feared connection. The countless human tragedies and the insane costs of the autism tsunami, for which the pharmaceutical mafia and its henchmen in politics and the media cold-bloodedly share responsibility, are a deafening cry for indictment and atonement.

Who is once again embarrassed? The so-called “conspiracy theorist” who, for good reason, expects scandals like the Simpsonwood meeting, uncovers them, and makes them public? Or the conspiracy denier who pretends there are no secret machinations – and vilifies anyone who doesn’t share this illusion?
