At the end of 2018, a 55-year-old man with a 20 cm liver tumor was sent home by his doctors to die.
Desperate, he sought help from a spiritual healer who treated him remotely. Seven years later, the man is still alive—the tumor has disappeared without a trace, and he is now considered completely cured. The man’s story is just one of many similar cases that have been reported in recent years.

After taking early retirement in 2016, Werner Bergmann* from Lower Austria was looking forward to a carefree retirement with his wife. But things turned out differently: “In November 2018, I was diagnosed with liver cancer,” he reports. “My life expectancy was very poor.
At the time of the initial diagnosis, the tumor was 10 cm in size and eventually grew to 20 cm.
“Due to its size, it was not operable and could not be treated with chemotherapy,” his doctors told him. Because of his advanced age, hepatologists determined that a liver transplant was no longer an option for the then 55-year-old—the risks would outweigh the hoped-for benefits.
“My wife and I were desperate. The diagnosis hit us with full force.
Within three months, I lost 40 kg, was correspondingly weak, and had lost all will to live.”
Since conventional medicine had given up on him, Werner Bergmann set out to find alternatives. Friends recommended a spiritual healer who had reportedly helped many seriously ill people
— a member of the therapist network (IVH) of the AUSWEGE Foundation.
On January 18, 2019, the healer began treating him remotely, using a photo. “Every day,” the patient reports, “I sent him my health status by email, and when the pain was unbearable, he treated me more often. Every time, I felt better again a few hours later.”
Gradually, “my general condition improved. Regular check-ups at the hospital suddenly showed
normal liver values and excellent liver function.“ The patient gained 10 kilos and regained ”more strength and confidence.”
“A Miracle for Me”
On August 24, 2022, a CT scan revealed something incredible: the tumor had completely disappeared.
“It’s a miracle for me! Now a new chapter in life is beginning for me and my wife.”

Diagnosis upon discharge: Z.N. multicentric hepatocellular carcinoma (U1CC 2017 grade 2) – ED12/2018 confirmed by biopsy – currently no evidence of tumor
The attending physician at the hospital was stunned: he said he had never seen anything like it in his entire career.
In June 2025, another examination confirmed: “No tumor currently detectable.”
Spiritual remote healing: esoteric humbug? In his book “Fernheilen” (Remote Healing), Volume 2, AUSWEGE chairman Harald Wiesendanger presents many more impressive case studies, research findings, and attempts at explanation—and addresses objections.
